BeAScout.org Replaces Ship Locator
For several years the Ship Locator has been maintained by volunteers as seascout.org. Their diligent efforts have provided a valuable resource to the Sea Scout community by listing Ship contact information in a searchable and public domain. Maintaining this important directory has been a challenge over the years as units and leaders come and go. As a result, the directory has become cumbersome to maintain, and the information in the directory, outdated.
BSA has introduced BeAScout.org, and exciting online contact and recruiting portal for all Scouting units from Cub Scouts, to Boy Scouts, and Venturers and Sea Scouts. BeAScout.org has replaced the Ship Locator. The core information for BeAScout.org is maintained by local councils with the assistance of unit leaders. Local unit contact information and other features are maitained by the unit and offer a variety of helpful recruiting features. The process is as easy as 1-2-3-4:
