Sea Scouts BSA

As you may have heard, the National Sea Scout Service Committee has a team that has been working on developing a new Sea Scout web site.

The site can be found at: https://seascout.org/

This new site has been undergoing a great transition over the last month, and earlier this week, it moved from a “temporary” development server, over to a permanent production server. The results in the speed of the web site has been tremendous. Today, the main page of the web site will appear almost immediately, and be completely loaded in under 4 seconds. A great speed improvement. Plus, the site works very well on mobile phones and tablets.

While still in the “beta test” mode for six more weeks, we invite you to come to the site, and check it out. Try the new features, like the online training, visit Advancement Central (which includes all the new advancement enhancements), the Youth training center (make sure your Sea Scouts sign-up for SEAL!), and check Leader Resources, Ship Resources, the Marketing Toolbox, Program Toolbox, and the myriad of additional tools that have been collected on the site. There’s even information on Paddlesport Programs.

The new system even includes a complete section for the Central Region, and we have our own Calendar of Events, that will replace the information we have had on the Central Region Venturing web site.

Now, keep in mind, the site is not yet “complete.” So, if you find a problem, please, take a few minutes to report the issue, so that others can have a more complete experience.

We look forward to your feedback on the new site.
