Open a new message in your email program, and address it to listserv@seascout.org
In the first line of the body of your message (not in the 'Subject:' line, which is ignored), type 'subscribe seascout-log givenname familyname', substituting your name in the appropriate spot.
You should receive a confirmation that you have been added to the subscription list, normally within 24 hours.

Your email message should look something like this:
