Recruiting and retaining motivated Scouts and quality leaders is a full time job for most units. We are developing tools that we hope you will find useful in your efforts to recruit and retain membership in your units.
Be A Scout
The National Council has developed Be A Scout as an interactive web tool that can help prospective Scouts an leaders to locate and learn more about your Ship. The Be A Scout! program can help your unit grow and be found when you log into and update your unit information.
When interested youth and adults use Be A Scout, they enter their city or zip code information and an interactive map populates Scout units that are close to them. They select a unit by clicking on a "pin" that takes them to an informational page that tells them about the unit they have selected. The information they view is customized by the units themselves and may include meeting place information and logos, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and other important contact information. Interested persons can even leave information for you to contact them. Be A Scout is an awesome recruting tool!
