About the Sea Scouting Web Site

The mission of the Sea Scouts BSA website is to promote and support the Sea Scouting program to the Scouting community and the American people. The website offers broad public access to a wide range of information, including historical materials. The website is only as good as we can make it. Use of This Site

Please note that any personal information appearing within this website is provided for the use of the Sea Scouting program and the Boy Scouts of America only and may not be used for any purpose outside the organization of the Boy Scouts of America. Personal information about leadership of Sea Scouting units ("Ships" and "Crews") is provided solely for individuals who are interested in joining or supporting individual units. Any other use is expressly prohibited. Personal contact information beyond name and telephone number are provided only at the request of the individual.

Security

For site security and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, this computer system employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, deny service, otherwise cause damage, or access non-public information. Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Infrastructure Protection Act of 1993. Information regarding possible violations of law may be provided to law enforcement officials.
