The National Boatswain youth selection committee has selected Lilith “Lily” Marie E. of Cypress, Texas as the 2025-2026 National Boatswain Elect. She is a member of Ship 502 chartered to Christ the Redeemer church. Sam Houston Area Council, Houston, Texas is her home council.
This position works directly with the 2025-2026 National Boatswain to establish familiarity with running the National Quarterdeck. This provides opportunities for the Boatswain Elect to experience participating on the Quarterdeck and gaining knowledge and procedures for their term as National Boatswain the following year. Lily will act as the second in command for the 2025-2026 National Quarterdeck.
Lily Marie E. (Lilith) has a strong background in scouting, including leadership positions in Sea Scouts and the Order of the Arrow. She has also been involved in the Girl Scouts of the USA and National Charity League, with significant community service contributions.
Lily plans to attend Loyola University Chicago to pursue a Bachelor’s in Nursing on a National Navy ROTC nursing scholarship, with future aspirations to become a Navy flight nurse and then a physician assistant.
Lily’s term begins 1 June 2025.
