Please welcome Savannah Cushman, our Southern Region Boatswain for 2017-2018. Savannah is from Sam Houston Area Council Ship 208, SSS Red Skies. She lacks only her Bridge of Review to become an Able Sea Scout. She is a SEAL and NYLT graduate, and has served as Ship Boatswain. She is a certified lifeguard and is SCUBA certified. When not Sea Scouting, Savannah is an oboist, a Varsity Tennis player, a former JV Volleyball player, and a participant in the STEM Academy at Robert E. Lee High School, where she was recently recognized as STEM Student of the Month. She is a National Honor Society member and a member of St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church. Savannah will take office as Regional Boatswain on June 1st, 2017.
