SEAL Clinton Lake,IL 2020

The initial Central Region SEAL course with be held on Clinton Lake,IL on June 20-28, 2020.  Clinton Lake is a reservoir in north central Illinois.   23’ Hunter fixed keel sloops will be used when we sail every day, weather permitting. This type of boat is very easy to sail so we work on developing leadership skills.  Very experienced Scouters have volunteered to staff this course and are looking forward to having you join us for a challenging fun adventure.  Experiential leadership training will be emphasized using fresh water sailing as a laboratory.  There will be natural occurring opportunities to complete advancement and Sea Scouting Bar Awards.  Bring your SPAR and Bar Award Score-sheets if you have not already earned the Awards.  You can find them on SeaScout.org.  Only 5 or 6 registered Scouts will have the opportunity to participate in the course.
