All right, Mates, you have been complaining that there are no summer camps for Sea Scouts… Well, that is about to change!
Gulf Stream Council is about to launch their FIRST SEA SCOUT SPECIFIC SUMMER CAMP, July 5-11, 2026, at the outstanding Camp Tana Keeta, near Jupiter, Florida.
This is not a boot camp, but you will be busy from Reveille to Taps with classes and activities that will lead to your next promotion.
Yeah, it’s going to be hot, but suck it up and enjoy the new skills and friends that you are going to make. You will probably survive. There is pride in surviving.
The pool is enormous. Three activities can be going on at the same time. Need to learn how to swim? Need your Swimming (MB) for Ordinary or Life Saving for Quartermaster? We will do everything possible to help you get there.
Want your driver’s license to drive a boat? How about how to keep your outboard spinning? There will be a fleet of Sun Fish sailboats to sharpen your sailing skills (and maybe something larger after you get the hang of things). We can probably find a bunch of kayaks to skim across the water.
Require Seamanship or Navigation for your next promotion? Real-world instructors will be there to guide you through the mysteries. Learn some new knots and how to use them.
The Staff has been selected because they are among the best SEA SCOUT LEADERS, and they care about teaching you Sea Scout skills. Been there, done that, skills.
There will be lots of activities for Adult Leaders if you want or need them for Trained Leader status.
Join us. Make history at the First Sea Scout Summer Camp in Florida.
