Sea Scouts BSA

We are pleased to announce that Sal Ciampo will serve as the next National Sea Scouts BSA Subcommittee Chair (National Commodore).

Sal has served on the National Sea Scout Subcommittee, Northeast Region Sea Scouts BSA Committee, as Territory 10 Commodore, Area Commodore, and Seabadge course director and staff.  In addition to his service within Sea Scouts BSA, Sal has served Scouting at all levels, including as a Council President. He is currently serving as chair of the national Properties Strategic Analysis Subcommittee and Territory 10 Commissioner. Sal is a Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and Silver Buffalo recipient and is a Distinguished Eagle Scout.

As Chair, Sal will lead the National Sea Scout Committee in its mission to provide leadership, guidance, and support to Sea Scouts across the country. His passion for Scouting and commitment to the Sea Scouts BSA program make him an excellent choice for this important position.

Sal and National Commodore Ben Feril will now begin the leadership transition process with Sal becoming Sea Scouts BSA Subcommittee Chair at the BSA National Annual meeting in May.

Please join us in congratulating Sal Ciampo on his new role, and we look forward to working with him and the national Sea Scouting Subcommittee to further the goals and values of Sea Scouts across the BSA.
