Sea Scouts BSA

This past weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to race in the fall regatta. In this race my partner and I took home a deco place win for our ship. The day started out long waking up at 5 o’clock to get to the house we stored our boats at. After a hard working hour we were set out to fall regatta with all four boats and all seven sea scout. After getting boats set up and the briefing race one started it was a regular triangular style race were my partner and I took a head start but slowly got past as we missed the wind and took a hard 3rd place. After lunch we had a great head start taking a first place and second place which pushes us to second place overall. As the day ended and our first place third place and other first place had put us in the number one spot for the day. It was a great day of sailing and a great day with friends. I’m glad I had the opportunity to learn new skills and get a win over all.
